Description: Hepplewhite chairs in solid mahogany. Very heavy and strong frames with inlaid bell flowers. High end chairs built like a rock. Some folks call this style chair a sweetheart shield back dining chair because the backs have a heart shape. These antique style dining room chairs were, until today, nearly impossible to find in exceptional shape. True antique chairs of this style are found in incomplete sets and the frames are usually pretty weak and soft. We are proud to offer these inlaid Hepplewhite chairs to those who have been looking for this style for a long time and have not been successful finding a great strong higher end set.

Unlike the original antiques, these chairs are tall back chairs. The vintage chairs of this style were much shorter, and these newer chairs will stand up nicely along today's larger sized tables.

These chairs have a Federal or Sheraton style foot. The chairs were made in the Philippines so the mahogany is very dense and heavy. These chairs are perfectly fit for an active family and they will take the abuse. The seats are slip seats and the fabric you see is not a finished fabric. The white fabric is a muslin, or a liner. The seats are easily removeable so you can upholster these chairs with your own fabric. We offer upholstery services for an extra charge, please inquire if interested.
