Ogee spandrels are incorporated into the upper section of the front, introducing additional carved detail at the transitional areas. The chest follows a traditional English form dating to circa 1650, with carved ornamentation integrated into the primary structure rather than applied separately. The interior is accessed from the top, making it suitable for storing textiles, blankets, or general household items. The oak construction contributes to the durability and weight of the piece.
